On Friday 8th October our Year 4 adventurers had a day at Oxenwood outdoor education centre. The day started at 9:00am and finished at 9:00pm and it was certainly a day packed full of activity. Everyone (including Mrs Pattenden and Mrs Crocker) went home tired but happy!
Throughout the day the children experienced a range of activities including climbing, archery, cooking bread over an open fire and orienteering. The day ended with a 4 mile hike, as dusk settled and night came, which culminated in a walk down Spooky Alley!
The children demonstrated so many of their purple learning attributes, not least the need to be resilient and resourceful as they faced challenges that for many were a first!
