Admissions
This year’s application round for Reception places for September 2024 closes on 15th January 2024.
The school’s Published Admission Number (PAN) for September 2024 will be 15.
By law a child does not have to start school until the term following the fifth birthday. However, most children start school in the September following the fourth birthday.

If your child was born between 1st September 2019 and 31st August 2020 they are due to start school in September 2024 and you will need to apply for a school place by noon on 15th January 2024. All children will be offered a full time place but, if you would prefer your child to attend part-time or to delay entry until later on in the academic year please contact the school directly to arrange this. All admissions are administered by the Local Authority.
You can apply by completing an application online. You can find all the information that you need if you follow this link: http://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/schools-learning-admissions-applying
Admissions in other school years

Secondary Transition
At the end of year 6, children transfer to secondary school with the majority of our children going to St John’s Marlborough. Applications for a place at secondary school must be made through Wiltshire Council in the Autumn term of year 6. The deadline for secondary school admissions is midnight on 31 October 2023. Please apply online.
Transfer arrangements for our Year 6 pupils going to St John’s are sent to parents during the Spring Term prior to their children starting in September. These arrangements include visits to St Katharine’s Primary School by St John’s staff, visits made to St John’s by our Year 6 pupils and Parents Evenings when you can visit the school and meet the teachers who will be directly involved with your child/children.
