This week the children, who are keen to be in the 22-23 Eco Council, have been busy presenting their manifestos. Children designed posters and PowerPoint presentations, wrote poems and created videos to convince their classmates that they were the person to represent them on this year’s council.
On Friday 18th October the democratic process came to an end with the children voting for their preferred candidate. We have discussed the importance and privilege that accompanies the voting process and asked our children to vote solely on the manifesto presentations that they have heard.
We are pleased to announce that: Charlie (Y2), James (Y3), Arabella (Y4), Lily & Isobel (Y5) along with Imogen and Eva (Y6) will make up our new Eco Council.
New badges and the mantel of Eco Councillor were awarded in a short assembly on Friday by our out going council.
Thank you to them for all of their hard work. The new Eco-council will be supported by Mrs Mackenzie and Miss Denton to create a new action plan and get started with making the small changes that we know can make a difference.
