On 20th June our Year Sixes visited Salisbury Cathedral as part of this years diocese-wide Leavers’ Services. It is a lovely way to mark the end of their time at primary school and spend a moment reflecting on what it is that they take with them to their secondary settings. The end of Year Six is such a busy time with so many trips, visits and events, this occasion makes time for reflection, stillness and an opportunity to think about what it is that they have within them that will stay the same despite all the changes that are happening around them. After the service we had the chance to visit some of the reflections spaces set up around the cathedral and to take in the beauty of this incredible building.
The day ended, as is tradition, with ice-creams on the lawns outside! The sun and we all enjoyed a truly lovely day together.
