Mrs Pattenden is teaching violin to the whole of Chestnut Class.
Having loaned 30 violins from the Wiltshire Music Service we are able to offer violin teaching to the whole class this year. This is a wonderful opportunity for all children in year 3 and 4 to have an experience of learning an instrument that will hopefully lead to more children wanting to learn an instrument in the future.
After a few weeks navigating the violin itself, learning how to pluck the strings and exploring the sounds that can be made, Mrs Pattenden says: ‘we are now beginning to put the bow to the strings…’ watch this space!
