Last week we competed against twenty-three other schools in the Bristol regional heat of the First Lego League robotics competition.
As part of the competition, we had had to design and build a Lego robot to complete a range of different and challenging missions. Each mission had to be completed in just two and a half minutes.
We were in seventh place after round one but then moved to ninth place by the end; we are very proud of this as we were competing against some big primary schools and some secondary school teams as well. There were three rounds in total, our first round was our best round, we scored a huge two hundred and five points!
As well as coding our Lego robot, we also had to do a presentation to the judges, which we think they found very interesting, and they gave us some great feedback. There were also three other teams watching us present.
We were also scored for how well we worked as a team and how we had approached designing our robot and tackled the problems.
We had a fun day out in Bristol which finished with a balloon party before the final presentations.
