Hazel class are incredibly lucky that each week they get to enjoy a morning in the forest as part of our EYFS curriculum. This is a fantastic opportunity for them and one that they all look forward to each week. Using our forest is a fantastic way of developing a variety of skills and there are always a range of activities to choose from. We use these sessions to develop our gross and fine motor skills, work on our communication and language, look for maths opportunities in our environment, find out about and learn about the world around us, develop our personal, social and emotional skills, learn about other cultures and traditions, express ourselves through movement and art and develop curiosity and a sense of awe and wonder.
