We have been busy building our collection of foods in support of the Devizes Food Bank. Despite not being able to hold our usual Harvest Festival in church our community have given with great generosity to this collection.
Our discussion with the children has been around the struggles faced by many families, at this time more than ever and the huge importance of sharing with others.
We have been reflecting this term on the things that are valuable to us. The children have offered really careful insight into the things, in their lives, that hold value and how these things very often have no monetary value at all.
In the weeks leading up to Christmas we will be exploring how love, friendship, kindness, sharing, the natural world, family and the planet that we live on are all things of great value. We will do some deep thinking about how we can treasure these things in our everyday lives.
