Home Learning

Home Learning is part of your child’s learning journey from Reception through to year six. We always aim for any home learning to be fully integrated into the work that is done in class, supporting or extending understanding that the children already have. Our expectations for what children should be able to accomplish at home grow with the child; preparing them for each step in their educational journey and ensuring that when they make the transition to Secondary school they are ready to manage home learning independently and confidently.

There are already a range of resources in this section of our website designed to help you support your child at home. See particularly our ‘reading booklet, levelled reading bookmarks and calculation policy.

Below is a copy of our homework / home learning  policy which gives more precise details of the home learning expectation for different year groups.

Thank you for your support with your child’s learning at home – working together only strengthens the impact we can make.
