Oak Class had a fun and interesting workshop about the Great Fire of London. The children recapped how the fire started in Pudding Lane in a bakery owned by Thomas Farriner. They followed how the fire spread and saw how it changed London. The actor from Past Productions put on a short play to explain how the fire spread. They found out how people tried to escape and stop the fire using chain gangs and fire blocks. They also looked at how the fire led to new building rules in London. The children took part in many activities including making their own fire artwork, dressing up and acting, writing with ink and Tudor dancing.
