On the 15th of October, Sycamore (year five and six) went to The Science Museum in London.
When we arrived, we first went to the Wonder Lab, which contains a lot of hands-on experiments to try with your body and mind including friction slides, a spinning pole, demonstration of water vapours, building bridges and the shadow room – that only scratches the surface of how many experiments there were in the Wonder Lab and how much fun it was.
Then we went to an 3D IMAX film about Antarctica and climate change; everything looked like you could touch it because it was right in front of us.
In the final part of the day, we went to see the space gallery that had the Apollo 10 Command Module in it as well as the capsule which Tim Peake used to return from the ISS. We also saw what astronauts eat and learned how you would go to the toilet in space! There was also model of what a holiday in space might look like. There were a mind-boggling number of things in this gallery.
