We have been thinking about how to develop the spirituality of our learners alongside their sense of awe and wonder at the beautiful planet on which we live. We are extremely lucky to have our own piece of woodland and you can’t fail to notice that at this time of year it is carpeted in snowdrops. As Forest School Lead, Mrs Mackenzie is thinking about how to develop the use of our Spinney not just for forest school learning but in support of the whole curriculum. As part of that work she is developing a series of Collective Worships that encourage children to enjoy the outdoors and develop a deep connection and appreciation of not only that small space but the natural world that it is a small part of.
Over the past two weeks teachers have been taking their children over to the woodland to take part in what we have been calling our Snowdrop Assembly. Hopefully your children will have told you all about it already!
