We celebrated world book by dressing up as characters from our favourite books. We had an assembly in the morning so that we could share what everyone had chosen to come as. Some children brought clues to their character along with their costumes. Matilda brought the newt, that she terrorised Miss Trunchball with and the Tiger Who Came to Tea brought along a tea set!
Parents joined us for this assembly and were able to see the creativity and effort that had gone into the costumes. It was also lovely to see the wide range of stories that are being read and enjoyed by all of our children.
It was lovely to see the older children reading to Hazel Class after playtime and for Hazel Class children to have an expert reader all to themselves!
A great day was enjoyed by everyone.
